Environmental Radioactivity Testing Laboratory

The laboratory determines natural and artificial radionuclides in water, soil, food, air filters and construction materials. Methods include gross alpha and beta activity, HPGe gamma spectrometry and radiochemical analysis. Radon measurements and testing of materials with elevated naturally occurring radionuclides support environmental and human-health risk assessment.
